Almost every Honda V6 automatic from that time has issues. Annual fluid changes might help, but even then, it’s *might* (but at least ATF changes are easy on it tho)

I recall that there was a problem with a bearing that didn’t get enough lubrication and they modified it in repair to fix that. Some cars had the problem, some didn’t. My neighbor’s ‘03 Odyssey with the same transmission is still running strong on the original box. If you are considering one, and the transmission seems to be fine, you might take a chance.

Earliest ones had a recall, up to 2004 I believe. There are a 2006 and a 2008 in our family and they have been decent family rigs. I would rather highlander but I’m a Toyota snob.

Yes. Generally around the 130k mark. I sold mine before it got there, but it was a fantastic vehicle and I highly suggest the pilot to anyone looking for that sort of thing.
Gas mileage sucked but it has a cool 4WD system, nice interior (mine was a fully loaded EX-L), could tow an ok amount (never broke a sweat with my Wahoo! hitched up), and was just all around a nice, practical, reliable vehicle.
I avoided having to rebuild the transmission by selling it for a D eville that needed a transmission rebuild.
